On Sandy's return from her big 'OE' she completed her CA qualifications by correspondence whilst her employment took her the length and breadth of New Zealand. Her broad experience ranges from self employment through to Chartered Accounting. Kate hasn't always been a chartered accountant in public practice. Earlier experience includes being a group financial controller for a large company which later involved facilitating a management buyout. She has a passion for designing company systems to maximise the time available for other things and to get on and enjoy living. Associate - Tax Consultant

Bevan has a special interest in tax planning and entity structuring. He enjoys providing pro-active advice to assist clients with ever-changing compliance issues. This helps to ensure that business structures continue to meet client objectives in terms of both flexibility and tax minimisation. Bevan's expertise also extends to implementing information technology solutions for clients to improve business functionality and automate the day-to-day management chores.

Kendall Earl A.T., NZ Dip. Bus

Accountant

Kendall has been working in accountancy firms since completing her Diploma in Business Studies. Her return from a working holiday in the USA saw her working for a medium-sized accountancy practice and completing her Accounting Technician qualification. Kendall joined us in 2007 on her return from a second overseas trip. She works closely with a number of clients and in addition to working in compliance accounting is taking more responsibility in the management accounting field. After work you'll find her at the gym, churning out some laps at the pool or hitting the ski slopes.

Carolyn Jones NZ Dip. Bus

Accountant

Carolyn comes to us with seven years experience in an office environment having held a variety of positions with the same company including roles in account management and business advice. She has completed her Accounting Technician Diploma and intends continuing her studies towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. She enjoys interacting with clients and getting to know about and offer assistance with their businesses. When she has spare time, she enjoys horse-riding and caring for her menagerie of animals which includes a kune kune pig called Princess.

Rochelle Cottom C.A., B Com.

Accountant

Rochelle completed a B.Com at Canterbury University after which she was employed at a CA firm in Christchurch. There she worked with a wide variety of clients for five years doing compliance work, special projects and budgeting amongst other things. She took a break from accounting and now has three fantastic (most of the time) kids, who keep her busy when she's not at work. Having returned to the workforce to utilise her skills back in the CA environment, she is enjoying the challenge of assisting clients with their accounting and tax needs.

Outside of work, sport dominates her interests, whether pounding the pavement, armchair viewing of most sports or supporting/managing kids teams.

Anna Palmer

Accountant

Anna has spent the past 10 years with a wholesale distribution company in the rapidly growing natural health sector. The latter half of this time has been in the position of Administration Manager for the business in which she is still currently employed. Her role covers management of day-to-day accounts, administration and staff. Anna is employed part time with Smith McCoy Alford Limited as a Trainee Accountant and brings with her considerable experience with MYOB Business Software and a clear understanding of running a business.

When not at a desk, she and her husband are actively involved in the sporting lives of their teenage daughter and son in their respective equestrian and rugby pursuits.

Nikki A'Court

Tax Administrator

Nikki is our part time Tax Administrator. She previously worked for over 12 years in one of the "big five" accounting firms and then spent six years as a self employed colour consultant in the building industry. Nikki's invaluable experience means she is able to branch out into other accounting areas besides tax administration.

She is also a busy mum, married with 2 girls and spends her spare time with family and friends.

Elizabeth Fitchett

Customer Service

Elizabeth is the person most likely to greet you on the phone or when you come in for a visit. She joined us at the beginning of May 2009 in a maternity cover position which has since become permanent.

Elizabeth was working in the Tourism industry before she spent 2 years in the UK on her OE. She has experience in a wide range of areas from working in customer service, gaining her Bachelor of Teaching and Learning degree, to working as the personal assistant to the General Manager of a NZ manufacturing company.

When not at work Elizabeth is busy spending time with her husband Shayne, son, and step children or socialising with friends.
